I want to do a degree in physics or possibly theoretical physics. I'm most interested in quantum physics and would prefer a uni which is stronger in this area rather than astrophysics etc. Any opinions?

At the undergraduate level, it's irrelevant. You'll be learning it from scratch and any IoP accredited university will be fine for that. In addition, if you are interested in theoretical physics, you may find it more appropriate to read maths, and specialise in 2nd and 3rd year theoretical physics options. That may give you a more appropriate background.

And "quantum physics" is a huge area, so you'll need to be more specific about what areas of quantum physics you are interested in anyway.
