Hey has anyone played or even heard of the sport Ultimate (frisbee)?
If not heres some information about it.
Ultimate is an exciting, non-contact team sport, played by thousands the world over. It mixes the best features of sports such as Football, Basketball, American Football and Netball into an elegantly simple yet fascinating and demanding game.
Ultimate is a hugely growing sport across the UK particularly with University Teams. So why not check out to see if your University has an ultimate team.
Ultimate is split into three main areas. University, Club and National. with each split into 3 further areas of Open(men only), Womens(women only) Mixed(both men and women playing together on the same team), played outdoor, indoor and Beach.
The rules:
Ultimate is a game for two teams of seven, played on a field similar in size to a football pitch (see diagram). The last 18 metres at either end of the field are the “endzones”. A goal is scored when you throw the disc to a member of your team standing (or more likely running) in the endzone your team is attacking. Players cannot run with the disc. When a player catches the disc, they must come to a stop. A team can therefore only move the disc upfield by throwing it from player to player. The defending team takes possession if the disc touches the ground, or if they make an interception by catching the disc or knocking it to the ground in mid–flight. The game is noncontact — when contact between players does occur, it may be deemed a foul.

Why is it just called Ultimate though? Adding Frisbee would make it a lot clear as to what it is.
