If your were doing the edexcel higher paper 2015, what did you write for question.

I wrote that cystic fibrosis causes the stomach to be lined with mucus so therefore less enzymes are produces affecting digestion and absorption (malnutrition). This means that the sperm cell wont have enough energy to swim to the egg and not enough respiration occurring in the mitochondria.

On the internet it talks a lot about tubes being blocked, but do you think from what I wrote I'll still get those 2 marks?

Sperm duct gets blocked in men, ovary duct in women. Either way the mucus inhibits the sperm reaching the egg, therefore causing someone to be infertile.

My school said they're going to complain about that question to Edexcel because it's not on the specification.

Apparently it's because the bodily fluids become thick aswell but either way I'm pretty sure it wasn't on the spec but it was an engaging question
