So long story short, doing music gcse, can't compose, took the first four bars from an existing piece to use as my first four bars. Changed the key& time signature & the pitch. Forgot about it till about 3 weeks ago, cue panic mode. Told my teacher, he says it's fine, it's just been heavily influenced. The other music teacher says its fine, has compared the original sheet music and mine and has found "no problems". Anyway despite everyone saying everything is fine i'm still worried bc i worry about everything. But surely, if there was any risk, the two teachers wouldn't allow it to get sent off without editing, right? Because they'd get into trouble too???
Basically my question is, when would i find out if all is not okay? Before results day, i hope? That's what it says on the Edexcel website - the board contacts the head of centre who conducts an investigation?? Help

Edit: oh and before anyone suggests i change it - i've asked continually to no avail lol

Don't worry about it, honestly. I know someone who copied a whole Miley Cyrus song for their A2 composition and got away with it (and even got an A for it).
Most likely the invigilator will just think you've been inspired by the song.
