    It was very dodgy, they were supposed to announce the result at 6:00am, it didn't happen until 10:00am due to 'high postal votes'

    Also the BBC were saying Farage had lost the seat at midnight before they started counting, something strange happened there.

    it was very suspicious the delay particularly because the vote had a gap of almost 3000 so wasn't that close so no recounts or anything & the BBC said live on air very quickly after the polls closed at about 11pm Farage had lost 12 hours before the vote was announced

    The council election results the same day also gave UKIP a massive landslide and control of the council

    Just a theory, but perhaps there was higher turn out given that there was a very polarising candidate? Also perhaps less people bothered with local elections?

    Even Farage has accepted it was a 'fair' defeat. Put off your tinfoil hat and just accept that FPTP is a ***** and that the Tories played a blinder with the SNP- thats why they got the result they did.

    South Thanet turnout;
    2010: 45,933
    2015: 49,401
    Not much higher than usual, my constituency had an extra 7000 voters from 2010 and they counted everything on time, its a dodgy deflection. If the police are officially investigating it they obviously think there is something to the accusation so it isn't tinfoil.

    We do not know the extent of the fraud, who did it, or even if it definitely happened. For all we know it benefited UKIP.

    But something bad may have happened to UKIP, so there must be a huge conspiracy going on to prevent them taking power. :angry:

    The BBC was also saying that Balls had lost his seat for much of the night. There are people on the ground watching the count, so rumours easily get started. Also if there was fraud why would the BBC know anyway?

    Anyway, this is all really light on details, we don't know anything at all, it is more than premature to be claiming what happened yet.
