    Hey,

    I am really unsure on the tests for negative ions, I know the halide tests but the carbonate & sulfate tests I am unsure on. Any help.

    For sulphates all you need to remember is that first u add hydrochloric acid and then barium chloride solution.... If a white precipitate forms then bang there's a presence of sulfate ions. Carbonate ions well u first add dilute acid into the solution if it fizzes there's a presence of carbonate ions .... Hope this helps and gl with c3 tomorrow I'm so not ready for it
