    I'm struggling to answer these hypothetical questions I though of in a way that would get me the marks.

    1. Say you held your breath for as long as you could comfortably (X amount of seconds). When designing an experiment with the independent variable of time breath held for why would you not hold your breath for longer than X.

    2. Following on from the scenario above, why would you start with a small time breath held for and work your way to the max rather than the other way around?

    3. Why is it bad to measure your own breathing rate?
