Did anyone do this paper today? If so, there was a question in the early life section about abortion that was worth four marks. Was it about the alternatives to abortion or why people have abortions?

I think it was about the alternatives because that's how I answered it

Thanks, that's what I thought but got a bit worried when people said it was about reasons.

It was a really badly worded question so you could have been right. There was so much confusion at my school.

What were the questions for abortion, I thought it was: what is sanctity of life, religious believers should be pro-life campaigners, reasons for abortion, something on like religious believers should agree with the laws or something, and conception should be taught 6 marker. My friend just texted me and said it was on explain different reasons for having a abortion.... not sure now

I answered it as why people have abortions, there was huge confusion in my school as well. The wish I hadn't picked the abortion question!

Pretty sure it was on the alternatives of abortion, and describing each alternative each fostering, adoption, etc.

    Everyone Chill Out
The question was about the ALTERNATIVES of abortion, not the REASONS for abortion - read the question!
You have to mention 2 alternatives of abortion eg) foster care, adoption and simply explain what happens in each,
It's 2 small PEE Paragraphs - No religious teachings or quotes were needed
    It's an easy 4 marks

I predict the grade boundaries will be lower this year - loads of students in my year did not finish the paper - timing is a big problem for this exam - the questions are fine to answer, but it's the timing...

After reading through the paper, I completely agree with VivekJ555; the question was asking for two developed points, or PEA paragraphs, about the alternatives of abortion. If you added reasons that is fine, but it was imperative to add two developed alternatives to gain all four marks. It was a standard four mark R.S question.

Quite sure I also answered why people have abortions, does anyone remember the wording of the question?

Can't remember exactly but I believe it did include the word "options", not sure, which makes sense why people may have misread the question , e.g reading it as "opt" so you would explain the reasons and not the other options.
