I will be doing a foundation year followed by a bachelors in the same uni. But they have mentioned that if I'm below 24 years of age I may not be eligible for uk gov funding for the foundation year. Is this true? Can i still get maintanance loans or grants but not a tuition loans? and if it is true will i just need to apply for the government funding at the end of my foundation/start of my bachelors?

    Thank you!

    Hi there.

If the foundation year is an integrated year of the course then it will still attract funding from us. So long as this is technically the first year of the course then you don't have to be 24.

    Thanks.
