Regardless of what it means today, it is clearly shifting in that direction. The Conservatives have realised that these next 5 years are going to be incredibly difficult for them to keep any favourability amongst the electorate. Thus they must find ways to ensure, or at least increase the likelihood, of winning the next election.

I think they will do a good job. That's why I voted for them.

To begin with I was speaking in future tense, which means that I was referring to something that will happen in the future. Following?

So when I said, "you will be chained up", I was referring to the process of imprisonment which we are apparently going through. The first stage of which involved stripping us of our privacy, and from David Camerons words today, further limiting our speech.

But seriously though. The mention of Islam incites a reactionary response of fear and mistrust. I simply mentioned Islam and you jumped to the conclusion that I was a militant muslim.

What is the point in giving rights to people who explicitly want to destroy those rights?

During World War II, Britain fought for, among other things, free speech. As part of this war, it prosecuted and put in prison people who had Nazi sympathies. Was this (un)justified or hypocritical in your opinion?
