Do you have her details? Really you need to find out what she's going to do.

Which of your details did she take? Is there any damage?

You're supposed to tell your insurance... But I'm not sure what the protocol is as you hit a wall, not another car.

You have a couple of options but you need to speak to her.

    1. You could offer her some money to fix any damage to her wall (if there is any) and try to settle things academically. Unless you flattened it, if you only damaged a few bricks this may well be the cheapest way for both of you.
    2. If it is going to be done through insurance (worth asking her intentions before you call you insurers) then you will need to inform your insurers. She can either make a direct claim to your insurers or do it through her home insurance.

However, it is worth pointing out to her that if she does it through her insurance, she will have to pay an excess charge (as will you) and the whole thing will be very bureaucratic. Even if she claims through just your policy chances are her premiums will go up because she will have to declare that she made an insurance claim. Phew!

So the short and curlies of it all are to try and settle it in person... unless you practically levelled her wall.

    Good luck!
