Explore the possible demographic, environmental and other causes of food security

Research the patterns of food insecurity at different scales to establish why food security varies from place to place

Above is the steer for A2 Geography Unit 4 Life on the Margins food supply problem
I'm really confused by what it means by demographic - I know this means population but what is it about the population? Can it be related to migrations etc. , population growth. What about disparities in wealth within a population, does this count or is it economic? It would be great if someone could give me some ideas for demographic factors to research as I'm really struggling, Thanks!
