    Hi, peeps. Y'all alright?

So it's decision time. I have gotten accepted in a few universities and I have done my share of research but I'd like to discuss a bit more about reputation and quality of the potential institution I might go.

I don't come from a marketing/business undergrad, so this would be a conversion master's as I want to go into brand management/strategy. I come from a industrial design background.

The universities I've had offered a place are:

    Strathclyde - MSc Marketing
    Nottingham - MSc Marketing
    Durham - MSc Marketing
    Newcastle - MSc International Marketing
    Lancaster - MSc Marketing
    Queen Mary - MSc Marketing

I am still waiting for Edinburgh's response (which I don't think it's gonna happen as it's a specialist programme) and I am still thinking about applying to King's College and Birmingham.

I don't like Henley Uni of Reading, Aston or Manchester programmes (not quite the contemporary approach I am looking for). Cranfield is in the middle of nowhere so I can't do that. Warwick, Imperial and City Uni CASS are over my budget, unfortunately. Glasgow and Bath are also specialists.

This is pretty much it. These are pretty much all the programme I have found to be interesting and reputable. But which one would be the best?

Strathclyde seems to have a respected business school and some recognition for the Marketing department itself (quite high on Eduniversal ranking, for example) but the university lacks overall reputation.
Newcastle is the other way around, although the course does seem to have a very relevant content.
Durham is undeniably traditional and internationally recognised and the business school have been acquiring a good reputation but I can't seem to find anything particular about the Marketing programme and department.

Nottingham is somewhere around Durham's level.

Lancaster does hold a good reputation for business and marketing but the programme that seems to have it is the advanced one, not the one I hold an offer from.

And finally Queen Mary, which is somewhat reputable but not for business.

What do you guys reckon? Any alumni to share experience or applicants with similar doubts?

    Feel free to comment!

Lancs or Strathclyde - I'd go for the latter, as you point out the MSc at Lancs is only a year old...
