    Hi,

    I'm doing AS Further Mathematics - FP1, D1, S2.
I'm just wondering if I ended up getting a B in FP1, what grades shall I get in D1 and S2 to get an overall A?

For an A overall at AS, you need 240 out of the 300 UMS. You would want to be aiming for an A in D1 and S2 but it's the UMS that has to add up, so a high A in one and a high B in the other may also do the trick.

Hi I have a kind of similar problem and am panicking so need some help if anybody knows anything please!!!!!. Last year I sat C1 C2 FP1 M1 S1 and D1-> I got over 90 in all modules but S1 went into my normal maths as it was the highest applied module. This year I am sitting FP2 FP3 C3 C4 S2 and had M2 on Wednesday. I don't feel M2 went particularly well and that I have a much better chance of getting over 90 in S2, to have a chance of getting an A* in further maths. Since M1 was placed in my further maths last year by default, and if I did not certificate and do not have any AS level certificates, can S2 still go into my further maths this year (so could S1 swap out of my normal maths into further) on results day (I.e. I will have no need to rearrange my modules?) Any help would be much appreciated thank you!

Whether or not you cashed in and got a certificate for AS results makes no difference.
Your results will automatically be arranged by the examiner to give you the best possible grades within the combination rules of the specification with priority given first to Maths and then to Further Maths.
