Those "x days to A level results" are generally posted fairly close to midnight, at which point they are exactly accurate. It would make no sense to post "7 days to A level results" at this time just because that's what you get if you round down.

edit: this is assuming A level results refers to the very beginning of the day although really it's going to be quite a few hours more than that for most

Dont count today coz its already the 5th
So 7 days and x hours.

You are wrong (this is basic arithmetics)

I've sketched the graphs and can see where they intersect, but how can I deal with it algebraicly? Haven't came across this before sorry if it's simple :P

Cosx=sin(pi/2-x)
Then its just solving pi/2-x=sqrrt(pi^2-4x^2)

Is anyone getting

10 * 10!

For the extra question? My method feels extremely unrigorous / dodgy

It feels somehow wrong to treat functions like this, but I think this works nevertheless.

I need to look at it in detail ( I just came back from holidays a few hours ago) but I think it is correct.

My solution is essentially the same, I just show more steps for the benefit of students, and I have used IBP which is essentially a variation on what you did at the end.
