I'm going there to study Drama in October, woo! Super excited to study the one subject I love with all my heart
But i thought I would ask here to hear your thoughts on your time at Essex.

How are the people there? Friendly? Helpful?
Are the student socities any good? (I was thinking taking up karate or something while I was there)
How much time does studying for a degree take? I know A levels require a couole of hours a day, but honestly degrees are different (i'm a little hazy on the subject). Basically, is the same amount of work as 3 A levels? Or is it like just like the one A level, because it's one subject?
Do A levels matter once you're in uni? Does anyone ask/care?
What were your dorm mates like? Were you all as nervous as eachother or were you pretty indifferent to eachother?

Thanks for reading/answering! I'm so excited to start, but kinda nervous at the same time :P
