Ok- I have maths coursework in for next week and I am going on a school trip on friday-tuesday which means I am going to have no time when I get back...I should have got this info ages ago but have a tendency to leave things a little late :P
it's a bit of a dodgy survey- but I think the results should have room for analysis- (the project is about word length in newspapers...blah blah blah)

anyway- please you lovely people *cheesy smile/wink (whichever takes your fancy)* could yo possibly do this survey for me...(sorry there's no tick boxes or anything- (I do have them on the ones I am going to attemt to give out...))

Heh. I trust your hypotheses are as follows:

average sentence length will be longer in the broadsheets.

average word lengths will be more or less similar between broadsheets and tabloids (due to the fact that the English language, by its very nature, involves lots of short words no matter how "intelligently" one is writing).

hmmm...similar but yours are better worded and make slightly more sense---I need to touch them up here and there and will add some of your very-much-apreciated points of wisdom...

I have to do at least three hypothesis(do I put an e there to make it plural? meh!) so I have done another relating to the types of television people like to watch etc etc- hense the questionaire...

am headed to france tomorrow on my school trip but I don't think I will get it all done tonight...*sigh* ah well...

Well this is my last pitch before I head off to france...
hopefully some more 'lovely lovely lovely' people will fill it in over the weekend in time for me to do some quick analysis when I get back on tues *looks hopefully*

anyway- I need to pack (left it a bit late- am supposedly getting an early night as have to get up at 5:30 or something stupid...also need to make rolls...oh so many things to be done!)

Have a good weekend- think of me while I'm stuck on a coach with half my year going to visit 'exciting' museums (the organisers changed their mind at the last minute- 'unfortunatly there just wont be time to go to the theme park that was squeduled on the original itinary...we have also changed our visit to this town and instead will be going to see the bayeux tapestry'...oh how lucky we are...wouldn't be so bad but what are all the 'rebel' students going to be like as we make the rounds of the D-day museum etc...*sigh*) That asside should be fun!

Am back in England...with my beloved computer and broadband :P
Had a great holiday with me chums (and everyone was suprisingly well behaved!) despite being irritated by the stupidly annoying rule of 'no going into rooms of the opposite sex' *sigh*!

Anyway, maths in for tomorrow...so thanks to all who took the time to fill this in...better finish data collection and then start me analysis *sigh's again*

cheers
