Basically I am wondering whether AS and A2 grades add up to give you the final grade? My teacher has indicated that they do but not actually said it which has confused me. Also if they do add up what is it that universities are looking at when they offer you a place? The whole A level or just the A2 grades anything you guys can tell me will be helpful thank you.

obviously for the conditional offer they look at your AS, but when it comes to officially offering you a place after your A-levels, they look at the whole of your A-level grades, not just A2

Both AS and A2 are 50% each of the whole A Level grade, so your AS will count towards your final grade!
