Can I cancel my application if I don't enough maintenance loan/grant?

Hi There,

I've recently applied for my Settle in the UK visa and hopefully I'll get it back in time to apply for the student finance.

Currently I have a full time job but if I manage to study this September I won't be working (maybe Saturdays, if I can). My question is, as I live with my parents and they depend on me financially, will I be able to apply for the Maintenance Loan and Grant? And if so, if I don't get enough money to help them as well as paying for my living costs, will I be able to cancel everything? Are we told how much we can get and choose to either accept or not?

I've already accepted an unconditional offer but depending on how much loan/grant I get, I might have to postpone to next year because they still depend on me.

I live with my parents but I technically pay rent.

Hi there.

Do your parent's not have their own income? We will give you an offer of funding which you can choose to accept or decline, that's entirely up to you.
