    I can't seem to get to the required answer. Can anyone find what I'm doing wrong? Or point me in a different direction if what I'm doing is not the way to go?

    These are the question and the mark scheme.

    Looks to me as though you've mistakenly gone from cos^2\theta to cos\theta in your working out for area of ABC.

    Yeah, that's it. I corrected it and I was able to get to the answer. Such a silly mistake -.- Thank you so much for reading through all that and spotting the mistake
