# Assignment Help - Determine the dynamic parameters of a friction clutch watch

1. So the question is:

A single-flat-plate disc clutch has a driving surface with an inner diameter of 160 mm, outer diameter of 280 mm, and coefficient of friction of 0.32. Determine:

a. The axial force and friction torque under uniform pressure of 84 kPa
b. Maximum transmitted power at 36 rev/s under uniform pressure of 84 kPa
c. The friction torque under uniform wear, assuming the same axial force as in part (a)
d. Maximum transmitted power at 36 rev/s under uniform wear as above

Ive basically fell at the first hurdle, im trying to caluclate the axial load but the answer i keep getting is massive, i dont know if im using the wrong equation.

so far ive used:
Ive been re-arranging to make R the subject but for both equations my answer is over 2 million!!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
