RAF officer application timeline
Passed AIB for Royal Navy logistics but have been told to expect Feb as the earliest start date and potentially will never receive a start date due to fierce competition.

Competition is the same across the other Services. Less positions, more people than posts want in.
Looking to try and join a Branch of the military by finding roles they are 'desperate to fill' smacks of desperation on your behalf, and that isn't a good trait for an Officer. Slow down and do it properly.
