I want to buy tickets to freshers events because I'm scared they'll sell out but I don't know if I'll get the grades yet so I don't want to...is there a risk that they'll sell out if I wait until after results day to buy them?

Freshers events at most unis won't be confirmed until near Induction Week. Also it's very unlikely that you'll be able to buy tickets until you have enrolled (which is when you formally become a uni student), so there's no way you could buy them anywhere near results day. You need to plan to get them in September.

I'd wait until you definitely know which uni you're going to. Sure, some freshers events sell out but, like, maybe a week beforehand and certainly not four months before.
