I wish to apply to a private Cancer Centre where I live, but whether for a job or an apprenticeship/internship I'm not quite sure yet. Obviously having a job has that extra benefit (unless they have a paid apprenticeship) but I don't know if they would downright reject me if I applied for a job.

How shall I imply in my CV that I'd prefer a job but if that wasn't possible, I'd be happy to accept an apprentice position? Their website (don't worrry, they're legit) states they accept applicants with A level qualifications as well. Or should I email them beforehand?

You could email them inquiring about current openings and ask about possible future opportunities closer to what you want. See what they come back with
