are 2000 pounds enough to start in Leeds? watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hi there!
I am moving to University of Leeds in September for my first year (BA in Thai studies).
could you please tell me if 2000 pounds are enough to start living there meanwhile i will be looking for a part time job there? I will live at henry prince building that is on campus accommodation where the rent will be around 106-116 pounds per week. It is also easy to find a part time job there?
    Thank you very much!

Perhaps try to get an extra grand...?

Lets be honest £2k isn't a lot i wouldn't rely on it for long, your bills will eat away at it swiftly rent, electricity, gas, water, food etc.
As for getting a job well depends on your skills if youve never been employed or have no marketable skills, as it were, then it will be pretty hard yes if you do then it shouldn't be too hard.
But if i were you id still want a little more in the kitty before moving.
