PLAN YOUR ANSWER. Make a quick mind map of all your paras. i like to spend 5 mins and write down all the quotes im gonna use so they dont fall out of my head. im doing igcse so we dont get the book in the exam.
Link to wider ideas.
If you are asked a question like 'Explore the way Shakespeare uses love in Romeo and Juliet' dont just narrowly talk about Romeo and Juliet's romantic love. Talk about maternal love between the Nurse and Juliet, the colder, more business like and lack of love in Lady Capulet and Juliet's relationship. Talk about Paris and Juliet and how arranged marriage. Link it to Elizabethan views. Discuss the Friar and Romeo. Also talk about whether the love between Romeo and Juliet... You could discuss if it really was true love or if it was lust with sexual desires.
Romeo and Juliet was just an example but if you get the idea!
