I was wondering when you apply for internships during your 2nd year how do you make your skills or experience relevant? As most students will have retail, sales, customer service experience, volunteering or engaging in societies as experience.

But how is that relevant when applying for internships for investment banks, asset management or other financial institution etc…. and how do you show interest in working in that field as well? As this question comes up quite a lot

Spinning: The art of the investment banker, making something irrelevant sound very much relevant. Sell yourself.
