    Hello,
I have a dilemna - So, I am an access student and would like to study nutrition. However, I applied to study something different (still health related) and have received offers. Now, the only option for me is to go through clearing (which I know is very risky, but I am taking the chance anyway) though I am not sure how I can go about with this. Do I rewrite an entire personal statement and call up universities? If so, can universities reserve a place for you? I really need advice on this. Thank you!

Start by calling the universities where you have offers and asking them if you can swap courses there. Far simpler. Otherwise, you will need to withdraw from your offers this year so that you are holding no offers. If there is still a relevant course open in Extra, you can then apply there now. If not, you are ready to enter clearing on results day when it opens. You cannot amend your current Ucas PS. However, in this kind of situation universities will usually accept an additional statement. During clearing, business is conducted very quickly. If a university offers you a place on the phone on the day, you are in. However, you must have a clearing number to enter this system, and you can only have one if you are holding no offers.

Thank you for the reply! I will try phoning them up as you have suggested and see what happens.
