# Stuck on a C2 question in a solomon paper watch

1. I cant see how they got from the first line to the second line in the mark scheme, i always get 10r^3 out.

Well, in the first line both sides of the equation have a as a common factor and 1/(r-1) as a common factor. All they have done is cancelled them.

Yeah i figured out where i went wrong, I times the 10 by (1-r) when i shouldn't
