Girls, do you find it attractive if a guy has the ability to laugh at himself? watch

What I mean by this is if a guy can take a joke as well as give one and is good-humoured enough to take the piss out of himself occasionally, simply for the sake of comedy. I'd like to think that I have this quality in my personality, and it does strike me as a particularly good trait for a guy to have - one that many girls would definitely be attracted to.

I just want to gauge the general opinion of the fairer sex on here about this particular trait, though (simply for clarification, I suppose).

Of course. It suggests that you have an easy and out going personality which is attractive.

I like to laugh at my folly, though some other times some make me cringe..

It's definitely a good quality to have, but some guys overdo it, and it just makes them look insecure. Both complimenting and self deprication are effective, but only in moderation.

That's a good quality for anybody to have, I can't bear people who don't have a sense of humour.

Not necessarily attractive, but I would find it unattractive if he couldn't do that.

Very, if you can't do that then it's pretty much a deal breaker.

I agree, and I also think it's only truly effective if you're actually intelligent enough to a reasonable degree with your comedy.

If you actually have an awareness of what the appropriate level of self-deprecation is, and how to actually gauge accurately what sort of thing the girl is going to find funny and how she's likely to react to it, then I think you'll have no problem with doing this. It's when you take it too far and misjudge the dynamic, that you end up looking like an idiot.

Yes, definitely. My bf is like this and its probably the thing I love most about him.
