As the question says. The SDME is coming up on tuesday, and I find revising for it much more difficult than a normal geography exam.

Any tips on how to revise, and how to write good answers?

The SDME is a hard one to revise for because its pretty simple and mainly about reading each question, and the info given to you in the sources, carefully.

I think the best way to prepare yourself is by printing a past paper off and seeing the format, so you're not completely outside your comfort zone when you open the paper up on Tuesday.

Also key terms are essential if you want to be up there grading wise. Few words that are important:
-Bilateral aid, Multilateral aid and Non- governmental aid. You should know what these mean and the difference between each one.
-Also knowing your facts about world poverty etc. is great for impressing the examiner.
-LEARN AN EXAMPLE OF A PLACE IN DEMAND OF AID- Mali in Sub Saharan Africa is a great example to refer to.

Finally you should know how aid can be used by countries. Supplying a country with financial aid by giving it straight to the government can be very ineffective because many governments are corrupt and spend the money unnecessarily. Usually aid which is given to people with low socio-economic statuses in their country is key because they use it for their surival. If these people are given aid then they can prop up the country in many ways e.g. by working in primary industry to supply more food for their family. If these farmers are given more seeds and water they can provide for the village, or they can develop further into selling their goods to other villages for money.

If you overview these few things you should feel well good about the exam on Tuesday man. Hope this helps
