although you can also do ucas-extra around march with 2 extra choices if you get rejected from/reject all your previous choices.

yeh you'll have to pay £10 and you've got until the 15th to add more choices before the "equal consideration" deadline. Really sorry about your rejection though.

oh yeh i forgot about the equal consideration bit, which won't apply to ucas extra, i should have said.
and yeh sorry about your rejection as well :frown: have you looked round other unis, do you have any idea of which other ones you would apply to, since there is not long left till the deadline? or if you haven't you could always just look at the prospectuses (sp??) online since it's probably quicker than ordering them or try and talk to people who've been to the unis you're interested in, either friends, people you know, teachers at school or people on here. hope that helps
btw what are you hoping to study, just out of interest?

wanted 2 study the BA in Primary ed at canterbury christ church, and was really disappointed when i didnt get in - havent been to see any other unis because i live close to the canterbury campus and havent relly considered moving away from home just yet- and as ive onli got like a week left til the deadline i think im just going to leave it until next year and then ill have a look round the unis further afield, think ill b ready to leave home by then! does anyone know of the unis that have good reputation for the Ba in Primary ed??? i really dont have a clue on anything - college havent been very useful on giving me advice despite numerous meetings with the careers advisor! xx
Sorry to hear about your rejection :frown: Out of curiosity, why did you only apply to one uni? You have until the deadline of January 15th to add up to 5 more choices, but you'll have to pay another £10. You can still apply after this date, but unis won't have to consider your application. If you don't already have more unis in mind, look at the prospectuses and consider the course itself (in terms of teaching and assessment methods, class sizes, amount of choice, nature of modules and so on), the uni itself (in terms of facilities, clubs and societies, social life and reputation), the accommodation (in terms of catered vs self-catered, standard vs ensuite, number of people sharing facilities and cost) and the local area (in terms of city vs village, bustling vs quiet and distance from home). If you know anyone who is at/went to the uni or lives/has been to the area, ask them for their opinion of it, or ask in the relevant forum on here. That should give you the best overall picture of the uni possible without actually visiting it.

My friend got an offer from Canterbury for Primary Education and she said everyone at her interview had loads and loads of experience and she felt pretty useless compared to them in the lack of experience she had (and she has loads) so if you are planning on applying next year, try and get A LOT of experience, with brownie groups as well as schools.

If you have all that then I'm really sorry, this post didn't help you very much.

Trust me i wouldn't do this. You still have loads of time to apply to University and you have to wait quite long before you start anyway... i.e. there's the summer holidays.

You have nothing to lost by adding some more choices except 10 pounds.

Try Nottingham trent, University West of England, Trinity and all Saints Leeds. If you manage to get an interview read up on the latest curriculum news via the TES website.
Most Primary Ed applicants applied early in the cycle and some of them may have already got all their replies by now and chose their firm/insurance thus creating a slot somewhere.

Good luck

were you interviewed, if you were, or even if you weren't you cna ask for feedback from the uni as to why they rejected you, this may help with applications you make next year.
Surely it's worth a try applying to other unis this year? You may not get any offers because primary education is pretty competitive, but you never know and that way you won't lose a year. If you don't want to move too far away, you can do a search on UCAS for all the BA Primary Education degrees in your region. That will make it easier to choose because it will narrow your options.
