Problems with sex and contraception!

I have been on cerelle now for 2.5 years, the pill has caused slight weight gain, and I do not have any periods at all. This is worrying me and ideally I want to come off it completely as I feel it is not good for my body.

My problem is, I have a really sensitive down below area, it is constantly itchy, cut and torn. I am 100% clear of all STI's and am clear of trush and all bacterial infections yet I still have this problem, and it makes sex very painful.

The major problem I have though is I seem to be really really sensitive to any form of chemical in that area, condoms make the inside of my vagina sting and it is excruciating (hence why I had to go on the pill) and any form of lube (I am very dry) just burns, it is like a warm stinging and burning sensation. This means without the pill I cant have sex.

Does anyone have any idea what I can try now I am on the pill to see if it works before I come off it so I can enjoy intimacy without the pain and discomfort I am currently experiencing.

Try this it helps to narrow down options based on your preferences: http://www.fpa.org.uk/contraception-help/my-contraception-tool

If you want to come off hormonal contraception there's the copper IUD. The implant and IUS have lower dose of hormones than the pill so you might get on better with them or you could see about trying a different brand of pill to see if its more suitable (I'm guessing you can't use anything containing oestrogen as you're on a progesterone only pill).
Have you talked to a specialist about all this?

It'd be rare to get a painful response to everything - does even something like olive oil / a nut oil end up with those stinging sensations?

Yes you are correct I can only use progesterone only due to my migraines, my doctor told me that cerelle has the best satisfaction rate and has the longer "miss the pill" 12 hour window. - I would probably not want to try another brand if im honest, its just too much fuss.

In terms of the copper IUD and the implant, I cannot have the implant due to medical reasons and the copper IUD is one thing i am very uncomfortable with as the majority of my friends who use them are having them removed as they are uncomfortable, even painful and have caused horrific side effects (one of my friends has been on it for a year and hasnt stopped bleeding!

I would rather just come off it alltogether, but that isnt looking like an option currently.

Ii have never tried the oils as I have constantly suffered with water infections and was told by my doctor that these oils (natural lubricants if you must) may make it worse, she said just stick to KY jelly or something similar, and using the KY jelly I havent had a water infection, just get these burning sensations.

Using toys is not particularly painful, and neither is regular sex without lube, yet I am very dry and without lube i often get friction burns.

I honestly think I am going to ask to be reffered to a gynocologist if my doctor cannot sort my problem out.

I've had a copper IUD for two years and I've never really had any problems with it; everyone's different of course. There's natural family planning but you'd have to monitor things like cervical mucus and your temperature and has a pretty high failure rate for younger women/those with irregular cycles so probably isn't ideal.
