How is everybody revising all 16 poems?
I'm stressing out about the fact I might not get through them all before Friday.

For comparing just look so a poem that has something similar e.g the structure or imagery so then at least there are some similarities you can talk about. Then you just talk about the differences

Are you all doing Edexcel? Tomorrow's exam? Are we given copies of the poems or do we just have to remember them?

okay hi everyone, I'm an IGCSE Edexcel English Literature student. My predictions on tomorrow's exam is Tyger by william blake. it hasn't come up before unlike all the other poems in section c anthology. I am planning to spend a lot of revision time on Tyger, analysing structure, form, imagery, meaning, tone and effects on the reader. Is it just me that finds Tyger hard to analyse. does anyone have any tips on what to say about it. what is a mature way to describe the meaning of the poem because it had this biblical and god like reference.

how do I structure an essay of comparing two poems
how do I structure an essay of comparing two poems
C - Content of the poem
H - How it is written
I - Ideas and Imagery
M - Mood
P - Personal Response.
Try to embed your personal response throughout the essay as this will impress the examiner more than a personal response para at the end.
Not sure whether this anagram can be use for AQA but if it can I hope it helps you.
Good luck in your exam tomorrow, hope you smash it!
