i think this is the hall i'm going to go to...ensuite and catered halls...wonderful

anyone else thinking of going here?

Hopefully, if the cost of the ensuite isnt too much more.
I quite like the look of Pat's though.
Do you get to chose exactly which all you want, or just which option you want?

Ensuite is a waste of money imo. Yeah, it's nice, but you get used to shared toilets so quickly. Save the money for something else!!

So is every room a single room ?
Reply 5
Not 100% sure about Whiteknights, sorry!

Yeah, every room is a single room. I'm in my first year there. It's an amazing halls!! The food is the better than most halls, (i've eaten in Windsor, Childs and Bridges and it's far nicer than all of those!). I havn't got an en suite but I would say you really don't need one because the toilet is in a room by itself, not in cubicles and so is the shower and it's one step from my door. My room is the biggest halls room i've ever seen, I love it! The social life is really good there as well because there aren't that many students there compared to the other halls so everyone knows everyone. In general, its just a really fun place to be so I'd definitly recommend it!
i went to reading today- the law openday
we got taken to whiteknights hall and i really loved it. the rooms are a really good size, and the shared bathrooms and that arent as bad as other uni's!
The kitchen is nice as well.
i fell inlove with reading!!

The atmosphere in whiteknights hall is so relaxed and friendly!!

Hey there, I'm in my 'imposed' gap year after to going to warwick uni not liking it and now going to reading. When I was at warwick everyone had a laptop or a pc . I persoanlly had a pc cause faster, can upgrade them and cheaper. Back to whiteknights haven't seen any photos inside does any body have any cause i put it as first choice!
same, i liked it alot when i visited it....is whike nights the halls with that massive tv

I should really have gone and had a look but my friend whos there said she believes its one of the best halls. So i'll find out in 7 months times if she was right.

Does anyone know a price comaprison between whiteknights and the other halls?
I don't think the charges for 2007/08 have been announced yet; if you want to compare the fees for 2006/07 you should take a look at the Halls Booklet.

i checked jesus its expensive in comparison they better the best halls of residence on campus

Hey people I am trying to complete my accommodation application and I still haven't found where I want to go :s-smilie:

I read in the Halls booklet that at Whiteknights and Windsor most en-suite rooms are reserved for postgraduates and returning students. Does that mean that it'll be hard for me to get a place there? Cause I've read very good things about these two halls and I also want an en-suite room

I've also read some very good stuff about St George's but damn it's pretty expensive!!!!

Oh and does anybody know how's Bulmershe?

Hope I didn't bore you with my questions!!! Thanx

I think that Whiteknights isn't for postgraduates, only Windsor...
Reply 17
Neither are just for postgrads, just a few rooms are for them. In both halls, it's 90% undergrads, prolly 95%
Reply 18
Cool!!! Thanx you guys! Then I'm going for either Windsor or Whiteknights:cool:
Reply 19
I also applied to Whiteknights and Windsor :P
