Prospects of working in investment banking with an LLB degree from the LSE?

Hello guys and gals,

I have an offer of a place to study Law at the LSE from this autumn forward.Though I've yet to decide exactly what I'd like to do after University, I'm pretty sure it's going to be something along the lines big law/finance/consulting. Out of these three finance, and more specifically investment banking, is what interest me the most.

How likely is it to get a job in the City with an LLB degree? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
lse is a target, chances are good

Hi gr8wizard10,
Having a LL.B is good as a foundation degree. You have acess to specialize in any post graduate or masters degree if you have a gpa of 3.5 and above.

I am a current holder of one and currently taking my M.B.A in international Business. I am looking to break in wealth and investment management which is a good career focus since you are taking law. But don't be surprised if you end up changing your mind in the course of your 3-4 year programme. Finally take time at least once in the summer to take an internship in a big law firm that specialises not only in legal matt but also audits. A J.D in law and business should pave a good career for you.

Good luck.

Eyanm.
