M2 is quite similar to M1, P3 is quite a bit harder than P2 although less to learn. There is definitely a step up in the calculus.

I have not done M2, so I can't advise you about that. However, I would say that although P3 is more difficult, it is more interesting and rewarding as a result.

How is that?

Well, that is just my opinion. The calculus is a lot more advanced than the previous modules, and I find that I find things more interesting if they are a little bit more challenging. Having said that, if you found P1,2 ok you should not have too much trouble with P3.

I actually did better in M2 than M1, it is very similar to M1 in the style that u answer the questions, M3 however is lot harder than M2 ( i know that not thw question u asked but for any one else who is taking it) P3 is quite different from P2 but if u understand calculus there really is nothing surprising they can ask you, all the questions are based on the same thing.
good luck everyone

I found M2 ok, even though i had to teach the whole unit myself. I think as long as you didnt really stuggle with m1 m2 will be fine. In my case i dropped 5 UMS marks between m1 and m2.

As for P3, I found p2 easy and p3 abit harder. As long as you know you basics p3 wont be a problem.

m2 is really interesting, ill probably do better in M2 than M1
P3 is harder than P2

depends what syllabus, on mine (AQA maths and statisics spec B)
P2 is normal maths and P3 is further maths and P3 is a lot harder.
M1 is easy as is M2

I personally think:

M2 is just a bit harder than M1 but in order to succeed in M2 you must keep revising what you've done.

P3 is a WHOLE STRIDE up from P2. P1 to P2 was only a small step - infact some can even regard them as being about the same, but P2 to P3 is literally a step up. You can REALLY tell the difference between P2 and P3.

The best thing to do is get really good marks for all the other modules, and then just get something nice and easy like 60% for P3 to get an A for Alevel Maths.

in my opinion the hardest ones are P6, P7, M5 and P4 (just cos u have to remeber loads)

there is no p7 is there?? ...

i think p3 is a lot harded... especilly all the calculus and vectors

m1 is piss easy if you do physics a level... a lot of overlap and it helps with both subjects. m2 is not that hard either... just advances a bit on the pur maths side (includes more calculus) but is pretty much the same... similar to the level up from p1 to p2

again depends on your syllabus on mine (aqa spec B) there is P1-P7, M1-M6 (im doing all but M3) and stats and Discreet maths
if i was doing normal maths and not firther i would just do P1,P2,P4,P5,M1,M2
or any 6 modules to make up an A level
