Always remember that for enthalpy change Bonds broken - Bonds formed. So here its:
Enthalpy change= (242+4+(-97)) - (-339)=+488 KJ/MOL

Well don't know exactly but if you are better in solving unit 3 paper then just study mechanism of alkanes and alkenes.

If you have that sky blue edexcel book of As chemistry then read chp: 2, 3, 4, 7 because most of the paper is from these chapters.
