We are looking for motivated, energetic psychology undergraduate/graduate volunteers to work supporting Autistic children using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), methods used to modify and increase socially significant behaviour in autistic children, based on the science of Behaviour Analysis.
ABA helps build upon skills such as communication, social skills, self help skills, play skills, fine/gross motor skills, academic skills and much more.
We are opening up an ABA saturday school in the Manchester/Bolton area, which will run for a 12 week period, from 10-2. As a volunteer you will recieve first class training from experienced behaviour therapists and will be supervised by a Board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA). You will learn about the theory, principles and application of ABA, and use these to work 1:1 with a child, to build upon their skills.
This is a brilliant oppurtunity for a psychology student who wishes to pursue a career in behaviour management in any field.
