Is it ok to take mefanemic acid and sleeping tablets?

I need to take a sleeping tablet (zipclone) tonight but will I be able to take a mefanemic acid capsule tonight and tomorrow morning?

I can't find the answer on the net and its too late to ring anyone up.

that is fine - you will have no problem

if in doubt then don't do it.Also the NHS helpline is open 24hours a day.

Try and remember to ask your pharmacist when you're picking stuff up if you can.

I've never had a problem with taking mefanemic acid & cold stuff that helps you sleep (not actual sleeping tablets though - just the stuff that helps you sleep when you've got the flu)

NHS direct is the way to go though, if you want to double check :smile:

Yeah phone NHS direct to check. I cant see anything about it in the BNF but no-one on this forum is qualified to advise.

You don't 'have' to take zipclone though. if you feel you can sleep without it, don't bother to take it. Just remember that ey :wink:
