BAD=18degrees
BAC=36degrees

CD=DB

CB= 2x

Tan 36 = 2x/26cm
2x= 26xtan36
2x=18.89
x=9.45

I don't know if it's right but that's what I would do ...

i got 8.4 cm TAN (18) x 26= 8.4, it's either 9.45 or 8.4, but i'm fairy certain it's 8.4

Because AD is the bisector of angle BAC, we have:

\frac{CD}{BD} = \frac{AC}{AB}

But \frac{CD}{BD} = \frac{x}{ABtan18} and \frac{AC}{AB} = \frac{1}{cos36} hence

x = \frac{ABtan18}{cos36} \approx 10.4
