Would anyone be able to tell me the difference between these and if one is valued higher than the other if I'm doing an orthoptics course?

Hi there!

There is no difference between the two titles! It is simply that the universities that offer the course have chosen different titles for the degree. Both degrees mean that you qualify as an orthoptist and the different titles make absolutely no difference to job and career prospects. Both degrees are accredited by the HCPC so that means you can work as an orthoptist if you have one.

If you have any other questions, we will be happy to help!
