Good luck for tomorow, I'm hoping for an A. Think it will be my worst out of the 3, seeing as though they have strengthened it and its new.

So how did everyone find it ?!? ahh we are one of a kind doing that combination! I found it fairly easy, hoping for an A*, but I think the grade boundaries may be quite high so I'm not sure, they had really recycled questions and sources so it was quite a nice paper !

Yeah I find that a lot of their questions are like that though, and this is a new spec so they are allowed to be lazy and re-use old questions (and that was definitely a very lazily-written exam, most of the the questions I'd seen in other papers).

But I have high hopes for an A* too the grade boundaries for that have never gone higher that 44 in the past for Unit 1, though for Germany they are usually about 41 - which is pretty good

For the last question were we meant to talk about how Hitler consolidated his power after coming to power in 1933? I didnt think so at first but I swear it said to talk about other reasons as to why he came to power and how he consolidated his power (which is therefore post 1933 - reichstag fire, enabling act etc etc). Thoughts?

It was more about the rise to power, it was just the line at the top that mentioned consolidation of power because that was the section of the spec it covered.

The other reasons could have been:
~Hitler's role - oratory skills
~Use of SA
~Propaganda
~Ineffective constitution
~Fear of communism
~Financed by companies who wanted the end of trade unions
~Party promises, like ending unemployment
~Political scheming - Bruning, von Papen, von Schleicher
