Equilibrium

For the manufacture of sulphuric acid, 2SO2 + O2 > 2SO3 . When the pressure increase, the rate of forward reaction will be greater than the rate of reverse reaction right? Is it because the equilibrium shift to the right?
there are more moles of gas on the left of the equation so the system will try tooppose the change and decrease the pressure by shifting to the right

Until the new equilibrium position is reached, at that point rates return to being equal.
