Bad grades, postgraduate app ?

I have done pretty badly on my 1st year at uni; i got a pass. On my second year i got a 3rd, and now im on my way for a lower second this year hopefully.

My grades don't reflect my true potential as during my first two years i wasn't quite satisfied with my studies until this year were i got specialized.

Do you think i have any chance of being accepted in to Aston University or Reading ? (They are my top choices), My other choice is Coventry university.

I will take a GMAT exam in 7 weeks hoping for a 550+

Do you think its feasible ? What universities do you think i should apply for a Msc in finance ? What can i do in order to get accepted ?

You need to contact the course leaders of the Masters degrees you're looking for, and ask. The minimum entry grade *may* be negotiable for some courses, if you can muster two stellar academic references who can assure your target uni that you excel in the specific focus of the Masters course.

However... I would add the caveat that Finance Masters degrees are amongst the most competitive courses. You would be up against applicants who easily meet/exceed the entry requirements. You don't want either your references or your own application to be taken up with excuses for your previous poor grades.

Had you considered looking for a PGDip, which have lower entry requirements? These would usually be the first two terms/assessments of a standard Masters and sometimes let high performers continue to complete the full Masters.
