Is this unit 4 crime and deviance?

If so then the Mods and Rockers were two motorbike gangs that were rivals ,They had a small falling out/conflict.But because the media labelled them as folk devil , meaning a threat to society and exaggerated the problem it created a moral panic .This led to a self -fulfilling prophecy.

Basically the media created a moral panic that made the problem bigger than it actually was. (exaggeration)

This is just a simple explanation BTW , not developed.

Exactly, and this moral panic alerted the agents of social control to punish them more, but this merely attracted more to join the two subcultures.
