Parenchyma, collenchyma, schlerenchyma and more... (I hate plants so much)

I'm finding it hard to understand what hese terms mean. This is what I currently understand:

Parenchyma: Living cells.
Collenchyma: Living cells with additional layers of cellulose on their edges edges.
Schlerenchyma: Dead cells with many layers of cellulose impregnated with lignin.
Is this correct?
If so, does this mean all living cells without additional layers of cellulose are parenchyma? (e.g: petal cells??)

I also don't understand how vascular bundles fit into this. What exactly are xylem and phloem even made of? What are leaf traces?
I don't have all the answers but I just came here to tell you how much I agree with you. Plants are extremely annoying. Why did I need to know about them in my quest to be a doctor?!
