When writing an essay, which one comes first, the bibliography or the references? Also, are you suppose to repeat the titles of the references in the bibliography?

ok, first of all what type of referencing style have you been told to follow.

I have to do harvard referencing, which is quite common, but different uni's/schools use various referencing styles.

Each will have their own ways of referencing ... i have a harvard guide i might be able to add if thats the stlye you need...

ok mate, this is the Coventry Uni Harvard guide distributed to Cov uni students....

Harvard_Guide_v2.0.pdf

it might seem long but it's actually quite well laid out...

Reference page - what you actually used in your work, alphabetical order

Bibliography - books you used for research but didn't quote from, alphabetical order

Reference page usually goes first.
