Grade 8 Piano??

I'm sitting my Grade 6 in July and planning to skip to Grade 8 by the end of August/start of September (going on holiday all summer ). I have GCSEs next year so I want to get Grade 8 done by Easter next year at the latest - do you think that's enough time? (7-8 months, skipping Grade 7).

Thanks to everyone who inputs

Certainly doable. I went from grade five to grade eight (albeit over a couple of years timespan).

Grade seven and eight are quite similar in terms of level of challenge so for the sake of what is required for either of these then yeah, going straight to grade eight makes sense
Yes.
Honestly, I wouldn't really recommend it if you want a good mark on your grade 8. It's fine to skip lower grades (eg grade 3 to grade 5) but things get harder as you go up in grades. That said, if you put in pots of hours and hard work, it's possible

You would need to work a lot harder to master grade 8 straight from grade 6 is all I can say.
