OMG! Than you so much! I think I have 51 marks! Jw but how the hell do you compile a mark scheme so god damn quickly?!

That's what I'm thinking. I got home quite quickly and I see that there''s a mark scheme already (unofficial) with almost all the questions ._.

Lolololol no, just a practice paper made by the talented Palette

Lol it was nothing like the real exam. Shall I still make a hoax paper for P1?

what did everyone put for why vegetable oils are useful for food and fuels?

I put that they were renewable unlike crude oil, btw did anyone else think that it said 'important' not useful ? or did i go blind

I wrote the carbon dioxide reacts with the limestone in water which also calcium hydroxide, this prevents CO2 from being released into the atmosphere therefore contribution to climate change/global warming because instead it reacts to produce calcium carbonate

I said sulfur dioxide reacts with powdered limestone to form calcium sulphate which is used as lining for plasterboards so not only is limestone getting rid of the harmful gas but also creating something useful out of it

Guys was the atom at the start oxygen?

It's S - Sulphur

This is because it has 3 electronic shells and Sulphur is in Period 3 of the periodic table (Hydrogen and Helium are in period 1).

Do you agree that the unofficial mark scheme contains too much information?

That is exactly what I put.

No, apparently it was sulfur. I made the same mistake :frown:

It is sir!

Just remember that the period in the periodic table represents how many outter shell an element has.

On the diagram, the atom has 3 electronic shells, and Sulphur is in Period 3 of the periodic table!

I going to guess 47 for an A*. Incredibly easy.

A star will never be more than 49.

I wouldn't say that, it could easily be in the 50s and a lot of people found the test quite easy so i can imagine that the grade boundaries are quite high......

doesn't really matter though unit 2 and 3 will bring you up
